Red Foods like BBQ are traditionally found in Juneteenth celebrations!
Yield: 2-4 servings
PREP IT!
For Brine:
½ cup (1 pouch) Taste Tutor Brine
½ gallon Water, cold
2 racks Ribs, beef or pork
For Rub:
8 tablespoons Taste Tutor Carolina BBQ Seasoning
For Honey BBQ Glaze:
3 parts BBQ sauce
1 part Honey
¼ part Balsamic Vinegar
For Ribs:
1 1/3 cup water or chicken broth
MAKE IT!
In a large bowl, dissolve Taste Tutor Brine in cold water.
Add ribs to brine and tightly cover bowl with plastic wrap or a lid. Store on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Allow ribs to brine for 4 hours to overnight.
While ribs are brining, in a separate bowl, stir together, bbq sauce, honey, and balsamic vinegar. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
Once ribs are brined and ready to cook, preheat oven to 300F.
Remove the ribs from the brining liquid. Pat ribs dry with paper towel and liberally apply Taste Tutor Carolina BBQ Seasoning to all surfaces of the ribs.
Wrap each rack separately in foil. Before sealing foil wrap, add 2/3 cup water or chicken broth to each foil packet. Seal foil wrapper tightly.
Bake in a 300F oven for 2 ½ hours or until ribs are tender. Once ribs have baked for 2 ½ hours, remove racks from foil and transfer to foil lined sheet pan.
Spread glaze over all surfaces of ribs. Set broiler to 500F and broil for 5 to 10 minutes.
