Pickled Red Onions

Pickled Red Onions

Makes a great condiment for a bunch of stuff!

Yield: 1 jar

PREP IT!             

  • 1 large Onion, red, sliced thin

  • 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns

  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds

  • 2 teaspoons Oregano, dried

  • 7 cloves Garlic, crushed

  • 3 large Bay leaves

  • 2 teaspoons Salt

  • 1 small Hot chili, any kind

  • 1½ cups Apple cider vinegar

MAKE IT!

  1. In a 32oz mason jar, or heat safe container, add red onions.

  2. In a small pot, add all ingredients except onions. Bring to a boil.

  3. Pour hot contents of the pot over the red onions. Store uncovered in the refrigerator until cooled. Cover when cooled.

  4. Serve as a condiment with your favorite dishes.
