A guide to building bold memorable flavors!

This will be a fun and interactive online class in which you’ll learn how to turn “oh it’s just chicken, rice, and vegetables” into “dang! What did you put in this chicken, rice, and vegetables?! I need the recipe!” in the comfort of your own home, which means pants optional! Play some music, pour a glass of wine, and let’s get cooking!

We will be learning the following concepts and techniques:

  • Flick of the wrist; seasoning techniques.

  • Creating realistic and delicious vegan dishes.       

  • How to replace water in cooking with more flavorful options.

  • Healthy fats and their benefits in creating balanced flavor.

  • Benefits of using fresh foods and how to break those foods down.

  • Learn new cooking methods and how they help build flavor.

  • Order of food preparation for efficiency and optimum flavor.

  • Benefits of spicy flavor elements.

We will be answering the following questions in this class:

  • What basic seasonings should I keep in my cabinets?

  • Where should I keep my herbs and spices and for how long?

  • What will bring out the most flavor in my spices?

  • How much seasoning should I put on meats and vegetables, before adding salt.

  • How much salt should I use?

  • What should I add to my dish when “something is missing” in the flavor but I can’t figure out what?

  • What do I do if I added too much salt?

  • What do I do when my sauce is too acidic, too salty, or too sweet?

  • How do I know I’ve seasoned my food enough before cooking?


Online Cooking Class. Typically, 3 hours.
